About this expansion

Theseus: The Dark Orbit – Hunters is a faction expansion for 2–4 players with an approximately 90-minute play time. Released in 2015, it adds the Hunters as the second faction expansion for Theseus.

The Hunters employ trickery and subterfuge to gain an advantage. They hide in the shadows while disrupting their opponents and making use of abilities that set this faction apart.

Their tools give them several unusual ways to influence the game:

  • Steal bonus cards from enemies.
  • Take upgrade tokens for their own use.
  • Use enemy cards through hacking.
  • Remotely trigger their own action cards.

These abilities make the Hunters a faction focused on deception, remote effects, and taking resources from their enemies. Their hacking lets them use enemy cards, while their ability to remotely trigger their own action cards allows them to act without being directly present at the point of action.

The Hunters also possess a unique way to leave Theseus. By hiding in their capsule just outside the space station, they can withdraw from the station rather than remaining inside it.

With its distinctive combination of stolen cards, upgrade tokens, hacking, remote actions, and capsule-based escape, Theseus: The Dark Orbit – Hunters introduces a faction that turns concealment and misdirection into defining features of play.
