About this board game

Throw Throw Avocado is a 2021 dodgeball card game for 2–6 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Collect matching cards, spot sets before your opponents, and throw soft foam avocados when battles break out.

There is no distinct turn structure. Everyone picks and passes cards constantly, keeping their hands secret while searching for three-of-a-kind matches. Collecting matching cards and battle cards earns positive points, but losing an Avocado Duel can cost you points.

When an Avocado Card appears, play shifts from card collecting to fast physical challenges. Some battles involve only a few players, while an Avocado War can force the entire table to participate. In an Avocado Duel, two players stand back to back, walk three paces, and fire.

• Double Brawl: a battle involving avocado throwing.
• Legs Duel: one of the game’s special Avocado Duel formats.
• Freeze War: another battle format that can involve players throwing squishy avocados.

The first player to reach the agreed target, usually five points, wins. The set includes 120 cards, six Avocado Boo Boos, one Fear Me Badge, and two foam Avocados designed to be soft enough to throw without causing harm.

Throw Throw Avocado works as a standalone sequel to Throw Throw Burrito. Its 36-card bonus pack can also be combined with cards from Throw Throw Burrito to create a combo game featuring all four throwables.
