About this expansion

Thunderstone: Doomgate Legion is a 2010 expansion for the Thunderstone deck-building game, supporting 1–5 players with a playing time of about 60 minutes. Heroes race to secure the third Thunderstone while facing the secretive Cult of the Doomgate.

For centuries, the Doomgate Legion has guarded the Stone of Avarice. Its cult-like members are devoted to the stone’s secrecy, protection, and worship, standing as its champions and sentinels. To advance, your heroes must defeat the Legionnaires along with an evil sect of druids and other dangerous monsters.

Doomgate Legion adds two new card types to the game. Mercenaries are henchmen for hire in the village, bringing new abilities to your dungeon expeditions. Treasures are found after defeating monsters and offer powerful benefits, including mystic amulets and legendary armor that can raise your deck to new heights.

The expansion also introduces strange and horrifying Diseases, creating major hurdles for your heroes. New cards broaden the village, dungeon, monster, and special card selections while adding fresh threats and opportunities to your quest.

• Face Cultists, Evil Druids, Spirit Hunters, Stormwraiths, and other monsters.
• Hire Mercenaries such as the Doomgate Squire and Border Guard.
• Discover Amulet Treasures and Ulbrick’s Treasures after victories.
• Use new heroes and village cards, including the Blessed Hammer, Divine Staff, and Fortune Teller.

With its mix of deck-building, dungeon danger, valuable rewards, and debilitating Diseases, Thunderstone: Doomgate Legion gives your party a new challenge on the path to the third Thunderstone.
