Thunderstone Quest: Ripples in Time

About this expansion

Thunderstone Quest: Ripples in Time is a 2018 quest expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. It is Quest #5 for Thunderstone Quest and introduces a selection of dungeon tiles, monster cards, and story-focused Adventures.

Each Quest provides rules for selecting Village and Dungeon cards, allowing players to create a variety of setups. After mastering the included Quest, random Quest card setups can be used to create new Dungeons and Villages, letting you build your own Quests and Adventures.

Ripples in Time includes 243 cards, together with the components needed to organize and vary its scenarios. The contents support both the structured Quest experience and the creation of new combinations through random setups.

The three Guardian versions offer slightly different difficulty levels. This creates a scaling challenge across the Adventures within the Quest, giving the included scenarios varied difficulty while retaining the same story-driven framework.

As the first retail-only quest expansion released after the Kickstarter campaign, Thunderstone Quest: Ripples in Time expands the system with fresh cards, components, and possibilities for assembling Villages and Dungeons. It is suited to groups looking for a guided Quest as well as players who want to experiment with custom Adventures.
