About this board game

Traintopia is a board game for 2–4 players with a play time of about 30 minutes, inviting you to build a futuristic train paradise in a nation devoted to clean, efficient, and fast transportation.

On each turn, draft one component from the current offer: a tile, commuter, tourist, mailbag, or train. Then expand your network by adding the newly drafted component to it. The challenge is to create routes that serve different needs while positioning your components to support your final score.

Tiles extend your network and feature train tracks passing through different types of districts. These districts are sought after by different types of commuters, while landmarks along the routes attract tourists. Commuters and tourists score victory points when placed, so you must find the right balance between expanding your routes and filling them with valuable passengers.

The game lasts eight or nine rounds, depending on the number of players. When the final round ends, players score completed routes and add the bonus victory points from their individual goal cards.
