Trötofant

About this board game

Trötofant is a fast 10-minute game for 2–4 players, in which elephants use their trunks to collect logs from a rotating treetop. Designed for ages 5–99, it combines dexterity, quick decisions, and cheerful competition.

Each player pulls the cord of the tree trunk, setting the tree in motion. While it rotates, players must pick up the logs with their trunks, also called tooters, and place them in their own enclosure.

Most logs are worth 1 point, but some have a mouse on them and are worth -1 point. Picking up a mouse is not the end of the game, however: players can try to deliver these negative-value logs to an opponent’s enclosure instead.

• Pull the cord to start the tree rotating.
• Pick up logs using your tooter.
• Place valuable logs in your own enclosure.
• Pass mouse logs to an opponent whenever possible.

The game ends when the tree is empty or stops rotating. Players then compare their scores, and the player with the most points wins. For a longer contest, play several rounds until reaching an agreed score.

Trötofant offers a distinctive hands-on challenge for family play, with a rotating tree and trunk-based log collection at its center. For hygienic reasons, the tooters have separate mouthpieces that can be cleaned in a dishwasher.
