About this board game
Turbo Taxi is a competitive city-route puzzle game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 30 minutes. Each player races to arrange a personal set of street tiles into a valid network.
A shared city board contains a 3×3 grid representing nine rooms through which the routes flow. Four markers around the grid’s edge show where the routes can leave it: a yellow taxi, yellow house, black taxi, and black house.
At the start of a round, the top tile from the central face-down pile is revealed. Everyone then rearranges their own 12 tiles to create routes that use the same centre tile and connect the yellow taxi to the yellow house and the black taxi to the black house.
The first player to complete a valid network wins the centre tile, worth 1 victory point. That player may then rearrange the four perimeter markers before the next tile is revealed, changing the challenge for the following round.
- Fast, simultaneous tile-arranging puzzle play
- Identical player sets for a level competition
- A shared 3×3 city grid and changing perimeter markers
- A solo mode focused on completing a grid in the shortest possible time
Turbo Taxi includes a city board, 60 cardboard tiles, and four wooden pawns. The tiles are divided into four player sets of 12—green, yellow, blue, and orange—plus 12 neutral tiles with a medal on the back. The four pawns include two black and two yellow pieces, representing the taxis and houses used at the grid’s edge.
With its direct race, spatial planning, and constantly changing route requirements, Turbo Taxi offers a compact puzzle challenge for competitive groups or solo play.
