About this board game

Valkyries is a game-book adventure for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 20 minutes. Take the role of one of four Valkyries as they join Freya in a desperate attempt to prevent Ragnarök.

Each chapter introduces new rules and a dedicated Battlefield. Across the first three chapters, players learn the game progressively: move around the battlefield, eliminate as many enemies as possible, and play cards as wisely as they can.

The enemies are drawn from Norse mythology, creating a varied threat to overcome. Face powerful wyrms, cunning dark elves, draugr risen from Hel, formidable frost giants, and fearsome fire demons. Victory may even earn the favour of the gods, bringing aid to the Valkyries’ quest.

• Learn the rules progressively through the opening chapters.
• Compete with fellow Valkyries to decide who should lead the team.
• Combine rules and battlefields for quick games, longer campaigns, and custom scenarios.

Once the basics are mastered, players can use Full Mode on any isolated Battlefield, or venture into the Vanaheim campaign presented in the final chapter. The modular system is designed to suit both casual players and those seeking a greater challenge.

Valkyries offers substantial replayability through its flexible setup, rule combinations, campaigns, and player-created scenarios. Additional content is planned to expand the available playtime even further. For Asgard!
