Viticulture: Arboriculture and Formaggio Expansions is a two-module addition for 2–6 players with a listed play time of 75 minutes. It expands the vineyard with additional crops, livestock, cheese production, and new ways to improve wine orders.

The Arboriculture Expansion introduces arbor cards that provide olive oil, apples, and tomatoes. These crops are planted and harvested on fields like grapes, then processed on an extension to the vineyard mat. They add extra value to wine orders and can also be used to improve worker morale, although the workers may not be pleased by their additional duties.

Arboriculture substantially increases the game’s complexity and adds approximately fifteen minutes to the overall playing time. It offers a broader agricultural puzzle while keeping the new crops connected to familiar planting, harvesting, and wine-order systems.

With the Formaggio Expansion, players can trade for cows, make cheese, and add cheese to wine orders. Cows can be bought or sold as an additional option at the “trade one for one” space on the Tuscany extended game board.

• 18 cows and six cheese cellar tokens are included.
• The Cheesemonger may sell one cheese for 1 victory point on the “sell one wine token” space.
• The Affinatore lets players choose whether one cheese type does not age, preventing it from rotting, or ages twice.
• The Formager can discard one cheese token once per year when filling a wine order to gain victory points up to the cheese token’s value, potentially as many as 4.

Originally included in the Kickstarter version of Tuscany, these modules were later left out of Tuscany Essential as non-essential content. They are available in print-and-play format, with a print-on-demand version also authorized through Print and Play Games.
