About this board game
Wabbit Wampage is a 2–4-player board game from 1985, with a playing time of 120 minutes, in which Farmer Brown and the Wabbits battle for points across a changing farm year.
One player takes the role of Farmer Brown, while the other players become Wabbits. Everyone is competing for points, but the way those points are pursued changes with each season. The game presents a cartoon-inspired clash over the operation of a farm, evoking the rivalry of Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny.
The year unfolds through four distinct seasonal activities:
- Spring: Players plow fields, including the Wabbits.
- Summer: Players stockpile carrots.
- Fall: Players whomp enemies.
- Winter: Players destroy buildings.
This seasonal structure gives Wabbit Wampage a clear progression from fieldwork to resource gathering, direct conflict, and destruction. Every player is part of the same points battle, whether they are working the farm, gathering carrots, whomping opponents, or tearing down buildings.
Like the cartoons that inspire its tone, the game also lets players mail away for items that can help them squash the other players. These items add another way to pursue the conflict while keeping the focus on the farm-wide battle between Farmer Brown and the Wabbits.
With its mix of seasonal tasks, opposing roles, and cartoon-style farm warfare, Wabbit Wampage offers a long-form contest for 2–4 players. The game is followed by Wabbit’s Wevenge.
