War Chest: Nightfall is a 2024 expansion for the classic War Chest strategy and tactics game, supporting 2–4 players in approximately 60 minutes.

Not every battle is decided by grand armies, large fields, or defensible castles. In this expansion, the struggle extends into the shadows, where subtle and deadly tactics can throw an opponent into disarray before the main battle ever starts.

War Chest: Nightfall gives players the opportunity to use specialized units designed to hamper and hinder an opponent’s attempts to effectively mobilize their forces. Success depends on mastering the art of subterfuge and finding ways to interfere with the enemy’s plans.

The expansion’s theme draws on covert actions and deceptive maneuvers that can reshape the situation before open conflict begins. Its examples of underhanded tactics include:

• Fake letters and treaties
• Feigned retreats or advances
• Poisoned water supplies
• Assassinations
• Infiltration
