Wings of War: Flight of the Giants

About this expansion

Wings of War: Flight of the Giants is a First World War expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. It introduces the era’s large multi-engine bombers to the Wings of War series.

This expansion focuses on the huge aircraft that carried the First World War into strategic bombing and long-range operations. It features the Zeppelin Staakens and Gothas that bombed London, as well as Caproni Ca3s used by Italian and French air services on several fronts.

Other notable aircraft and missions represented include the Handley Page O/400, used by British and Australian air forces as a strategic bomber and in support of Lawrence of Arabia. The set also covers huge seaplanes hunting submarines and dirigibles over and under the North Sea.

Flight of the Giants is an expansion kit and is not an independent game. A basic box is required from Wings of War: Famous Aces, Watch Your Back!, or Burning Drachens. The rules and materials from the Wings of War: Deluxe Set are also sufficient, but this expansion does not include miniatures.

Part of the Wings of War series, Wings of War: Flight of the Giants was later re-implemented by Wings of Glory: WW1 Special Packs.
