About this expansion
Wizard Kings: Expansion Armies adds new units and army options to Wizard Kings for 2–7 players, with games lasting about 120 minutes. Released in 2000, this collection is designed to bring greater diversity and flexibility to your Wizard Kings games.
The expansion content differs between the first and second editions. In the first edition, each army expansion includes a complete set of blocks for a particular army. The Mercenary armies are an exception: Chaos and Werebeasts contain several blocks from each of the seven basic armies, allowing mercenary units to be distributed as desired.
- First-edition armies: Eldryn Elves, Jurak Orcs, Mortod Undead, Khurdak Dwarves, Viksyn Amazons, Wildryn Barbarians, Ferkin Warboars, Chaos Mercenaries, and Werebeasts Mercenaries.
- Eldryn and Jurak are also included in the base game.
In the second edition, expansion units are sold in a random booster format. Each booster includes three new blocks for each of seven armies. The Ferkin army is replaced by the Feudal army in this edition.
The second-edition Heroes & Treasures expansion covers Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Undead, Feudal, Barbarian, and Amazon armies, with these armies also included in the base game. In 2012, Ancient Kings added an assortment of seven historical armies: Egyptians, Greeks, Persians, Romans, Huns, Chinese, and Japanese.
Whether you are seeking additional blocks for familiar forces or want to introduce armies from different historical traditions, Wizard Kings: Expansion Armies offers a broad selection of units for expanding the game.
