About this expansion

Worldspanner Factions, Set 2: Expanses is a 2024 addition for 2–8 players with an approximately 240-minute play time. It nearly doubles the content of Set 1 while adding no new rules.

Designed as a content-focused set, Expanses comes without a rulebook. Instead, it expands the available options through a substantial collection of new heroes, treasures, cards, and map pieces.

• A challenge deck that is twice the size
• Quest decks that are twice the size
• 12 new map pieces

The expanded challenge and Quest decks provide more cards for games of Worldspanner Factions, while the new heroes and treasures significantly increase the set’s overall content. The additional map pieces also enlarge the collection of available locations and layouts.

Because Set 2 does not introduce new rules, it focuses on broadening the material available rather than changing how the game is played. Its contents are intended to build directly on Set 1, offering a larger pool of components for players who want more heroes, treasures, challenges, quests, and maps.

With its 2024 release and large set of additions, Worldspanner Factions, Set 2: Expanses is a substantial expansion of the Worldspanner Factions collection. It is especially notable for doubling the size of both the challenge deck and Quest decks while adding 159 new heroes and treasures combined, plus 12 map pieces.
