Zombicide: Black Plague Special Guest Box – Carl Critchlow is a 2015 character set for 1–6 players, with a listed play time of 60 minutes. It features three Survivors and one necromancer designed by UK-based illustrator and comic book artist Carl Critchlow.

The three Survivors are Thrud the Barbarian, Persephone Pursuivant, and The Black Currant. The set’s necromancer is To-Me Ku-Pa, giving this special guest box a distinctive group of characters connected to Critchlow’s creative work.

Carl Critchlow first created Thrud the Barbarian while studying at art college in 1981. Thrud later appeared in his own comic strip in Games Workshop’s White Dwarf magazine for five years during the 1980s, followed by a series of Eagle Award-winning self-published comics released from 2002 to 2007. These comics are now available as a collection from Titan Publishing.

Beyond Thrud, Critchlow has worked for companies in both the UK and the US, including DC Comics and 2000AD. He has also illustrated more than 200 individual cards for Magic: The Gathering.
