Zpocalypse 2: Defend the Burbs is a standalone tower defense-style survival board game for 2–5 players, with a listed play time of 720 minutes. Set after the city has fallen and been bombed, it follows small groups of survivors who have escaped the urban wasteland and taken shelter in a sturdy suburban house.

Each player controls a squad of survivors equipped with weapons, food, and useful items. As squad leader, you direct your survivors’ daily activities through the daily action board, choosing which tasks they will undertake as they struggle to maintain their refuge and hold back the dead during nightly assaults.

Every choice on the action board offers potential rewards as well as difficult trade-offs. Available spaces are limited, so pursuing one task can mean giving up another. Actions may provide the potential to find more supplies, but they also carry costs—because in the world of Zpocalypse, survival is never pleasant.

As your survivors gain experience, they level up in a range of skills.
