About this board game
Grinivil is a town-building board game for 2–6 players that takes about 150 minutes to play. Players compete and collaborate as developers, shaping a modern, eco-oriented town while pursuing money and success victory points.
On each turn, players act on the TAR (Time Action Ring). Every action takes a different amount of time, and each decision affects the other competing developers. Their actions can affect you in return, making timing and cooperation important parts of the town’s development.
Players acquire land, plant trees, and build roads while gathering resources efficiently. They can then construct the homes and community facilities that Grinivil needs, developing the town around the demands of its future residents.
- Buy land and expand the developing town.
- Plant trees and build roads.
- Gain resources and construct houses, schools, shops, and other facilities.
- Respond to residents’ stated and hidden desires.
Some future inhabitants openly explain what they want from their living space, while the wishes of others remain hidden. To succeed, you must choose the right actions at the right time, work with fellow developers, and cleverly guide them toward decisions that support your plans—or what you believe is best for Grinivil.
The town’s shared development creates a constant balance between personal aims and collective progress. You may need other players’ cooperation, even as everyone competes to benefit from the results.
In Grinivil, thoughtful planning, effective resource use, and skillful development determine your rewards. Build a thriving modern town, satisfy its residents as far as you can, and earn money and victory points for your success.
