About this board game
Flying Kiwis is a 2–4 player game from 2015 that takes about 10 minutes, combining real-time disc launching with tactical pattern-making and stack collecting.
Each player begins with ten kiwi bird discs and a catapult ramp fitted with a rubber band. Around the game box, players aim at its sixteen landing spaces, arranged in a 4×4 grid, and launch their discs when the signal is given.
The goal is to place your color of kiwi discs effectively while reacting to everyone else’s shots. Create a 2×2 square or a 1×4 row of your color to win immediately—but opponents can cover your discs with their own before all the kiwis have flown.
- Launch ten kiwi discs using a rubber-band catapult ramp.
- Aim for the sixteen pockets in the box’s 4×4 grid.
- Complete a 2×2 square or 1×4 row for an instant win.
- Otherwise, score the stacks topped by your kiwi discs.
If nobody achieves an instant winning pattern, scoring begins after the final launch. Each player claims every stack with one of their kiwi birds on top, taking all the discs beneath that bird as well.
Players then combine their captured tokens into stacks. Whoever has the tallest stack wins. With simultaneous launches, changing spaces, and the chance to cover an opponent’s promising arrangement, Flying Kiwis turns a simple grid into a lively contest for position and height.
