Kingdom Builder: Empire Edition is a supersized edition for 2–5 players, with games lasting approximately 60 minutes. Released in 2023, it expands the Kingdom Builder experience with larger components, refreshed artwork, and an additional set of rule-changing cards.

The centerpiece of this edition is its upgraded presentation. Each player receives custom-shaped plastic houses featuring a different design for every player color, while 3D castles add a dimensional centerpiece to the game. To accommodate the larger houses, all player boards are 25% larger as well.

Empire Edition also refreshes the visual style of the product with completely new artwork on the box and cards. The included bakelite location tokens provide another premium component upgrade, giving this edition a distinctive physical presence on the table.
