About this board game
Whoosh: Bounty Hunters is a fast-paced reaction game for 2–8 players that plays in about 10 minutes.
Each player begins with a face-down pile of cards showing weapons and spells. In the center of the table, three monster card piles each have one revealed monster waiting to be captured.
Every monster requires a particular combination of weapons, spells, or both. Players reveal cards from their piles one by one, watching the cards revealed by everyone. As soon as the requirements for a monster are met, the race begins: players must quickly place a hand on it.
- Capture a monster first to score its bounty points.
- Attempt a capture before all requirements are met and receive a negative point.
- Replace each captured or attempted monster with a new revealed card.
The action keeps moving as players assess the changing cards and wait for the right combination. Timing and attention matter, because a quick reaction can win valuable points, while an impulsive mistake can hurt your score.
When one of the monster piles runs out of cards, the game ends. The player with the most points wins, making Whoosh: Bounty Hunters a compact contest of recognition, nerve, and speed. Released in 2017, it delivers a complete bounty-hunting challenge in a short play time.
