Big Kini

About this board game

Big Kini is a board game for 2–4 players that takes about 60 minutes to play. Released in 2005, it invites players to explore a variable landscape, discover islands, and compete for influence and prestige.

The landscape changes from game to game, giving exploration a central role. As players discover islands, they can seek out the posts found there and attempt to take them over.

Taking over posts is the main way to gain influence. Posts also provide players with special abilities, making them important destinations as the landscape is explored and the islands become known.

With its focus on exploration, island discovery, posts, and special abilities, Big Kini presents a compact game experience for groups of two to four. The game is also expanded by the Big Kini Expansion: 5–6 Players and Action Cards, which adds support for larger groups and introduces action cards.
