Sticky Cthulhu

About this board game

Sticky Cthulhu is a fast, physical game for 2–6 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Released in 2021, it challenges everyone to grab matching creature tiles with long sticky tentacles.

The table is covered with six types of creature tiles in six colors, along with a few investigator tokens. At the start of each round, a player rolls two dice: one shows a color, while the other shows a creature.

Once the dice are rolled, everyone rushes to slap the appropriately colored creature tile with their tentacle. The competition continues until someone successfully removes the tile from their tentacle and holds it in their hand. That player scores a point, and the next round begins.

• Roll one color die and one creature die.
• Race to grab the matching tile with a sticky tentacle.
• Score when you remove the tile and keep it in your hand.
• Collect Deep Ones point tokens and face unusual curses.

As players collect Deep Ones point tokens, curses force them to wield their tentacles in unusual ways. These changing restrictions add another challenge to the frantic race for tiles.

Before play begins, determine the number of points required to win. Whoever reaches that predetermined total first wins. With simultaneous action, tactile components, and quick rounds, Sticky Cthulhu turns a simple color-and-creature match into a lively contest of speed and control.
