About this board game

Temple of Horrors is a dungeon crawler for 1–4 players, with games lasting around 90 minutes. Explore a forgotten temple, defeat its Evil Champions, uncover a mighty artifact, and escape before the creatures dwelling within awaken.

The entrance collapses after the Heroes enter, so survival depends on finding a secondary exit. An ancient Map reveals a different escape route in each game, while the dungeon itself is created during play as players choose which tile to place when exploring a new area.

Room placement is central to your strategy. Building large rooms of the same type can improve your chances of finding clues about the artifact, while choosing whether to place Libraries, Trap Rooms, Treasure Rooms, Healing Rooms, or Monster Rooms shapes both your opportunities and your danger.

• Explore an evolving dungeon and avoid traps.
• Fight monsters and activate Tomb Rooms to challenge powerful Bosses.
• Gain Experience points to improve each Hero’s abilities.
• Use Magic Items, potions, and weapons to further differentiate your character.
• Combine clues to discover the artifact’s position and locate your escape.

The game can last up to 14 rounds, and opponents grow stronger and more challenging as time passes. Each Hero can develop in different ways by choosing how to spend gained experience, creating a distinct character from one game to the next.

Temple of Horrors also offers a PvP mode. One or more hidden players secretly pursue victory alone, misleading the rest of the party toward a false path while attempting to seize the artifact and escape.
