About this board game

Pile-Up Rush is a 20-minute stacking game for 2–4 players, in which players compete to place odd items on a shared platform without making the pile fall.

Players take turns adding their pieces to the tower. Every placement brings the stack closer to collapse, creating a direct contest between careful building and the risk of sending the entire pile tumbling.

When a player causes the stack to fall, the opponent chooses one of that player’s pieces and keeps it. The players then begin another round, giving the game a continuing back-and-forth struggle over the pieces in play.

  • Shared platform: Build one tower together as the central challenge.
  • Piece capture: A fallen stack lets the opponent claim one piece.
  • Changing fortunes: Completing your own tower also lets you keep one opposing piece before starting another round.
  • Four-piece victory: The first player or team to capture four pieces wins.

There is another way to turn the result of a round in your favor. If you successfully place all of your pieces in the tower, you get to keep one of the opponent’s pieces and start another round.

Designed for two players or teams, Pile-Up Rush can also accommodate up to four players. Its compact 2017 release offers a focused challenge built around shared construction, precarious placement, and capturing pieces until one side reaches the winning total.
