About this board game

Pocket Air War: Definitive Edition is a fast, portable aerial-combat game for 1–8 players, with sessions lasting around 90 minutes. Set across historic air-war theatres, it is designed to let you play wherever you want.

Each plane has its own specific Dashboard, the central tool for play. It contains the information needed to operate that plane and can also be used to measure distances during Movement and Combat.

The Definitive Edition brings together the planes needed to re-enact a broad range of operations and conflicts. Its included theatres span Europe, North Africa, the Mediterranean, the Eastern Front, the Pacific, and the Korean War.

  • Battle of Britain
  • Strategic bombing campaign in Europe
  • North Africa and the Mediterranean
  • Italy and the North Sea
  • Eastern Front
  • Early and late Pacific
  • Korean War

Alongside its expanded collection of planes, this edition introduces a new detailed damage model. Damage adds another layer to the aerial combat represented on the table, while the dashboards keep essential information and measurement tools close at hand.

Solo play is included for games with one player, and crew skills provide another featured element of the Definitive Edition. With its portable format, broad selection of theatres, and plane-specific dashboards, Pocket Air War offers a focused way to recreate aerial combat across multiple historical settings.
