About this board game
Aliens: Hadley’s Hope is a cooperative science-fiction horror board game for 2–6 players, with sessions lasting around 90 minutes. Set in the Alien universe and based on the 1979 science-fiction horror film, it challenges a team to rescue colonists and escape from a damaged spaceship while xenomorphs close in.
Players move across a modular board made from circular sections. These sections can rotate during play, changing the composition of the maze. Carefully reshaping the board may open a useful route, improve the team’s chances, or block another player as the group searches for a way through the sectors.
Cooperation is complicated by a hidden role. One player secretly has a mission to sabotage the escape, so the group must balance shared objectives with uncertainty about who can be trusted. Threats and items appear throughout the game, while xenomorphs move toward human players each round.
- Cooperative play for 2–6 players
- A modular, rotating maze that changes the board
- A hidden saboteur working against the escape
- Xenomorph movement and threats that pressure the team
- No player elimination: killed humans become the xenomorphs they spawned
Survival depends on gathering enough items to make it through the sectors alive, finding enough colonists, and escaping safely with them. The danger continues even when a human character is killed: rather than leaving the game, that player takes on the role of the xenomorph they spawned.
With its shifting routes, hidden allegiance, and escalating pursuit, Aliens: Hadley’s Hope creates a tense team experience where every move can help the escape—or undermine it.
