About this board game

Welcome To… is a 25-minute game for 1–100 players about designing the best new town in the United States during the 1950s.

As an architect, you develop your suburban streets by adding resources to a pool, hiring employees, and making strategic choices that shape your town. The game plays like a roll-and-write dice game, but without dice: cards provide the numbers and actions you need.

Cards are flipped from three piles to create three different action sets. Each set combines a house number with a corresponding action, and everyone chooses one set to use. The number must be placed in a house on your street in numerical order, while the action can improve your score and expand your plans.

  • Increase the point value of estates you build.
  • Score points at the end for parks and pools.
  • Alter or duplicate house numbers when useful.
  • Race other players to complete public goals first.

Because the actions are communal, gameplay is simultaneous, allowing Welcome To… to support large groups while keeping everyone involved. The wide player range also makes it suitable for a solo game or a very large gathering.

With many possible strategies and completely randomized action sets, no two games feel the same. Choose your numbers carefully, develop your streets efficiently, and pursue one of many paths to becoming the best suburban architect.
