Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition) – Crown of Destiny is a 2014 hero and monster collection expansion for 2–5 players, adding new heroes, monsters, and quests to the world of Terrinoth.

Four noble heroes stand ready to oppose the overlord and protect the people of Terrinoth: Corbin, Lindel, Jaes the Exile, and Brother Gherinn. Each hero is presented with a detailed figure and character sheet, giving players new options for their adventures.

These heroes face three dangerous monster groups. Giants, chaos beasts, and lava beetles bring new enemies to the game, each represented by detailed figures and supported by monster cards.

Crown of Destiny also introduces two complete quests: Burning Harvest and Crown of Destiny. Together, they invite players to pursue a powerful artifact with the ability to reshape their very future.
