Food Chain Island: Friendly Waters is a solo, 15-minute expansion released in 2020, adding three sea-animal cards to the Food Chain Island experience.

In this expansion, the waters and the animals within them are your friends. Their help is aimed at one goal: arranging the land animals so they can eat each other while keeping them out of the sea.

Friendly Waters gives you additional sea animals to work with alongside those from the base game. The extra cards can be included in the base game’s sea-animal pool, letting you adjust the challenge before you begin.

• Shuffle the three expansion cards with the sea animals in the base game.
• Draw two sea animals for a normal-difficulty game.
• Draw fewer sea animals for an additional challenge.

This compact expansion keeps the focus on the central Food Chain Island task: use the available sea animals to help arrange the land animals into a chain where they can eat each other. The friendly waters are not the danger to avoid; they are the source of assistance you must use effectively.

With its three additional cards and adjustable setup, Food Chain Island: Friendly Waters offers a simple way to vary solo games of the base game. Choose the normal setup for the intended difficulty, or draw fewer sea animals when you want a tougher challenge.
