Thunderstone Quest: What Lies Beneath is Quest #6 for Thunderstone Quest, a 2019 expansion for 2–4 players with an approximately 90-minute play time. It presents a story-driven scenario centered on an attack on the village.

Designed as part of the Thunderstone Quest series, What Lies Beneath offers flexibility in how the scenario is played. The quest can be experienced in the standard competitive mode or in Barricade mode, giving players two supported ways to approach this chapter.

This expansion was first made available through the Thunderstone Quest: Back to the Dungeon Kickstarter campaign. Its substantial contents provide the cards and locations needed for the sixth quest, along with a rulebook to explain the scenario and its play options.
