About this expansion

Imperial Settlers: Rise of the Empire is a meta-expansion for 1–4 players that adds an open-world campaign layer to Imperial Settlers, with games lasting about 90 minutes.

Across multiple games, your empire can advance through new eras, goals, technologies, discoveries, and provinces. Each empire develops at its own pace, so players do not need to experience the campaign with the same group of co-players or reach the same stage of advancement together.

Rise of the Empire includes 220 new cards, divided into three distinct types. These cards provide the content for the expansion’s evolving campaign setting and help represent the changing stages of each empire.

The expansion also changes the length of Imperial Settlers games, shortening them from five rounds to four. This creates a more streamlined format while the broader campaign continues from game to game.
