ASL Action Pack #1

About this expansion

ASL Action Pack #1 is a two-player expansion for the ASL tactical-level World War II simulation, with an approximately 120-minute play time. It adds two new geomorphic mapboards, eight scenarios, and a color-coded flow chart for the game’s OBA section.

Boards 42 and 43 are designed to put players directly into varied battles without adding new rules sections. Board 42 presents a small village crossroads with stone buildings, walls, hedges, orchards, ponds, grainfields, and woods. Board 43 depicts a farm compound surrounded by large grain fields, creating open terrain and long fields of fire for armor.

The scenarios cover the length of World War II, from 1939 to 1945, and a broad range of European and Pacific locations. Battles include Russian and German clashes, American operations against German forces, Japanese and American combat in the Philippines, and a Sicilian action involving American, German, and Italian forces.

ASL Action Pack #1 is not a complete game. It requires ASL, Beyond Valor, Yanks, and The Last Hurrah; additional scenario requirements include Hollow Legions and board 10, Code of Bushido, and board 38.
