Isle of Skye: From Chieftain to King – Tunnelplättchen is a mini expansion for 2–5 players, adding new scoring and road-connection elements to the game in around 50 minutes.

This 2017 expansion introduces two new types of tiles: tunnel tiles and whisky barrel tiles with points. Together, they add fresh considerations to how roads connect and how income can contribute to your position on the victory point track.

With the tunnel rules, a road that ends at a tunnel connects to every other road ending at a tunnel within the same mountain range. This creates a distinct connection rule for roads and gives tunnel locations a special role in shaping your island.

Whisky barrels with points work differently from ordinary income. During the income step, these barrels score points instead of earning coins when they are connected to a player’s castle via roads.

• Tunnel roads connect to other tunnel roads in the same mountain range.
• Connected whisky barrels with points score victory points during income.
• Whisky barrel scoring happens before coins are collected because of players’ positions on the victory point track.
