Escape the Dark Castle: Kickstarter Upgrade Kit is a 2018 upgrade kit for 1–4 players, with a play time of 45 minutes. It gives everyone the chance to get the original 2017 Kickstarter content that did not appear in the standard edition of Escape the Dark Castle.

This kit includes additional cards and a special die connected to one of its standout items. It brings together two Boss Cards, eight Chapter Cards, one Item Card, and one Golden Axe Dice.

• 8 Chapter Cards: the contents are kept secret so they are not spoiled

• 1 Golden Axe Dice: used when swinging this almighty relic

The Golden Axe and its dedicated dice offer a clearly defined pairing within the kit: the Item Card introduces the relic, while the Golden Axe Dice is used when it is swung. The two named Boss Cards also provide identifiable additions without revealing the contents of the eight Chapter Cards.
