Darwin’s Journey: Komodo Dragon is a mini-expansion for 2–4 players, with an approximate play time of 120 minutes. Released in 2024, it introduces a new museum element centered on bonus tiles, specimen delivery, and the Komodo Dragon.

This expansion adds twenty new bonus tiles that replace the existing bonus coins. Rather than using the original rewards, players can earn these tiles by delivering specimens during the game.

After delivering a specimen, the player places a corresponding bonus tile in another bonus display. This creates a direct connection between specimen delivery and the rewards available across the museum’s displays.

The Komodo Dragon provides another way to interact with these bonus displays. Players can access them by researching the Komodo Dragon, which moves across the islands according to the specimens that have been delivered.
