About this expansion
Hadrian’s Wall: New Fates is a 2023 board game for 1–6 players containing 12 new Fate Cards and 1 Rules Card.
These cards are added directly to the existing Fate Deck during setup. Shuffle all 12 new Fate Cards into the Fate Deck before play to introduce their effects into the deck.
The new Fate Cards change how the Picts interact with your Cohorts. Some cards cause the Picts to attack 2 Cohorts, while other cards cause them to make no attack at all.

- Cards that can cause attacks on 2 Cohorts
- Cards that prevent the Picts from attacking
Favours have a specific limitation when dealing with Fate Cards that target 2 Cohorts. Using a single Favour can prevent only 1 of those attacks.
To prevent both attacks from a Fate Card targeting 2 Cohorts, you must use 2 Favours. This rule makes the timing and quantity of Favours important whenever one of these cards appears.
Hadrian’s Wall: New Fates gives the Fate Deck additional outcomes to resolve, ranging from no attack to a card that threatens two Cohorts. Its compact contents make the setup instruction simple: shuffle the 12 new cards into the Fate Deck and keep the Rules Card available for reference.
