Thunderstone Quest: Darkness Rising is a 2021 game for 2–4 players with an approximate play time of 90 minutes. In this dark adventure, Count Mortas feeds on the life force of Ebonwood’s citizens, leaving the pocket dimension wrapped in perpetual twilight.

New heroes rise to challenge the Count and can draw power from the darkness themselves. That power comes with a warning: taking too much can cause everything to be lost. The struggle against Count Mortas is therefore a battle of strength and restraint, as players pursue the power they need while facing its serious consequences.

Darkness Rising introduces Corruptions to Thunderstone Quest. These cards may come into players’ possession by choice or through circumstances beyond their control. They offer great power, but each carries a steep cost, creating a dangerous temptation throughout the adventure.
