About this expansion

Rattus: Mercatus is a 2013 board game for 2–4 players with an approximately 45-minute playing time, set in Europe during the Black Death.

The plague has ravaged Europe for several years, but daily life continues. Craftsmen produce goods, traders seek the best prices, and swindlers, thieves, and raiders take whatever they can. Against this grim backdrop, every kind of character looks for a way to profit.

Rattus: Mercatus includes twelve new class cards featuring the characters mentioned in the setting and others. These characters provide ways to collect goods and use money to perform special actions, adding new possibilities to the struggle for profit.
