About this expansion
Ogre: BGG 3-D Units Sponsored Counter Sheet is a 2013 promotional unit pack for Ogre, designed for 2 players and sessions of approximately 45 minutes.
This set was created through the Ogre Kickstarter project, after BoardGameGeek pledged $9,000 toward producing and distributing two promo sets. This unit promo is one of them; the other is a terrain pack. Many ideas came from BoardGameGeek users, while others were devised by Steve Jackson, who finalized the complete collection.
The sheet presents seven distinctive designs in BGG colors and themes. Each adds a memorable visual identity to the Ogre battlefield, from specialized machines and defensive positions to a giant monster and an objective worth destroying.
- FNRD the Ogre Ninja: the only Ogre Ninja model available in the first wave of Ogre units.
- ERNIE the Mark VI: one of only three Mark VI models in that first wave, distinguished by its dark-blue-and-orange BGG colors.
- Radio Tower: created especially for this BGG sheet as a unique first-wave objective.
- BGG Strongpoint: a blue-and-orange position dug into a hill.
- BGG-ZILLA: drawn by Alex Fernandez and suited to giant-monster scenarios.
- BGG Command Post: a position to defend with your life.
- BGG Missile Crawler: a Paneuro design in BGG colors, created for “stop the runaway missile crawler!” scenarios.
With its unusual concepts and clearly defined identities, Ogre: BGG 3-D Units Sponsored Counter Sheet is a focused promotional addition for players who want distinctive units and objectives in their Ogre games.
