About this expansion

Small Star Empires: The Galactic Divide is a spacefaring civilization game for 2–4 players that plays in about 45 minutes. After decades of colonization, the galaxy has become crowded, and each civilization must force its agenda forward while fortifying its position.

At the beginning of the game, choose one civilization and take its corresponding civilization board. Each board offers unique abilities, but using them costs power. Your available power is tracked on the board, creating a direct connection between your civilization’s capabilities and the actions you can afford.

To increase your power, build massive battle stations on strategic locations adjacent to other players. These structures do more than strengthen your position: they also protect your adjacent systems, disabling other players from using special abilities on your territories.

  • Tollaran Republic: Accept planets into your republic to build a mighty galactic federation.
  • Hantal’ar Empire: Conquer the galaxy under your empire.
  • Ora’Nor: Unite the planets under a single cause.
  • Pern Conglomerate: Buy the most powerful galactic corporations.

With civilization-specific abilities, a growing power supply, and battle stations positioned beside rival territories, every choice contributes to the changing balance of the galaxy. Decide how to use your civilization’s strengths while protecting the systems that matter most.

Whether you seek federation, conquest, unity, or corporate power, Small Star Empires: The Galactic Divide places your civilization at the center of a tense struggle for influence in a crowded galaxy.
