Captain Sonar: Chicago Map

About this expansion

Captain Sonar: Chicago Map is a 2016 promotional map set for 2–8 players, with a listed play time of 60 minutes. The set presents the Great Lakes region near Chicago through four two-sided maps.

This promo set was given out at the Asmodee booth at Gen Con. It includes two maps for Captain Functions and two maps for Radio Operator Functions, providing dedicated map options for each of these functions.

• Four two-sided maps
• Two Captain Functions maps
• Two Radio Operator Functions maps
• A map of the Great Lakes region near Chicago

Each map offers two different layouts. One side is divided into four quadrants, while the other side is divided into nine quadrants. These distinct divisions are included across the set’s map designs.

The maps are provided in two color sets: one set is yellow and another is green. Together, the color options and two-sided layouts distinguish this special promotional release from a single fixed map.

For collectors and players looking for the Chicago setting, Captain Sonar: Chicago Map is a compact addition centered on regional maps and alternate quadrant layouts. Its Gen Con origin, function-specific maps, and four- or nine-quadrant sides define the contents of this 2016 promo set.
