Catan: Seefahrer – 20 Jahre Jubiläums-Edition

About this expansion

Catan: Seefahrer – 20 Jahre Jubiläums-Edition is an expansion for Catan for 3–4 players, released in 2017. It adds water-rich game layouts, new possibilities for exploration, and four connected scenarios collected under the title Die Legende der Seeräuber (Legend of the Sea Robbers).

The expansion includes many water hexes and a range of different water-hex-heavy variant setups. Across these layouts, players can build shipping lanes, which function similarly to roads and extend the ways players can develop their positions across the board.

The anniversary edition also introduces bonus material celebrating 20 years of Seafarers. Its four new scenarios are linked by an ongoing plot that tells how the sea robbers came to Catan, offering a new narrative-driven way to play within the Catan universe.

• Water-heavy variant setups for Catan
• Shipping lanes that work similarly to roads
• Four connected scenarios in Legend of the Sea Robbers
• Additional bonus material for the 20th anniversary

Rather than providing only a single new map, Catan: Seefahrer – 20 Jahre Jubiläums-Edition broadens the possibilities through multiple setups and a connected scenario experience. The Legend of the Sea Robbers scenario expansion was also made available separately, without the Seafarers expansion, through selected stores and the Catan Shop.
