Rivers to the Reich

About this expansion

Rivers to the Reich is a two-player scenario pack for Advanced Squad Leader, offering 15 scenario adaptations and an approximately 180-minute play time. Released in 2013, it covers actions on the Western Front after August 1944.

Adapted by Jim Stahler, these scenarios complete the official Squad Leader scenario conversions begun with Turning the Tide. The collection follows Allied and German actions across France, Holland, and Germany during 1944 and 1945.

• France, 1944: U34, The Dornot Watermark.
• Holland, 1944: U35, Semper Paratus; U36, Operation Switchback; U37, Scheldt Fortress South; U38, Clearing The Breskins Pocket; U40, Vitality I; and U41, Infatuate II.
• Germany, 1944: U39, The Clearing; and U42, Stand Fast.
• Germany, 1945: U43, The Roer Bridgehead; U44, Operation Varsity; U45, Bridgehead On The Rhine; U46, Encircling The Ruhr; U47, A Small Town In Germany; and U48, The Rag Tag Circus.

The scenario roster features American, British, and Canadian forces facing German opposition. Its settings range from the Dornot Watermark and the Scheldt Fortress South to the Roer Bridgehead, the Rhine, and the Ruhr.

Two sheets of overlays, labeled A through O, are also included. These replicate the overlays that originally appeared in the Squad Leader module GI: Anvil Of Victory, adding a direct connection to that earlier material.

With its focused set of historical scenarios, Rivers to the Reich provides a substantial Advanced Squad Leader collection centered on the later Western Front.
