About this board game

Amenaza Gigante is a 2024 board game for 1–3 players that plays in about 25 minutes, challenging three heroes to stop a mysterious Mechanical Giant before it destroys the city.

In a world ruled by steam and gears, an unstoppable metal colossus arrives with an inexhaustible energy source. Its origin and motivations are unknown, but its path leaves ruins and fear behind. Three brave heroes with diverse skills and origins must unite, test their wits, and risk everything to protect humanity and restore hope.

The game unfolds through a carefully defined sequence of card and rondel resolutions:

• Giant cards are resolved first.
• The heroes’ rondels are then resolved.
• Finally, the City cards and their mechanics are resolved.

This sequence changes when the Giant cards run out, signifying that the Mechanical Giant has reached the city. From that point onward, the city immediately receives 2 points of damage, followed by the resolution of the heroes’ rondels and then the City mechanics.

The new sequence continues until one of two decisive outcomes occurs: the Giant is defeated, or it destroys the City. Every resolution brings the heroes closer to the final confrontation, making timing and determination central to the unfolding crisis.

With its steam-powered setting, threatened city, and escalating mechanical structure, Amenaza Gigante presents a focused battle against an advancing force of destruction.
