Android: Netrunner – The Underway

Android: Netrunner – The Underway is a two-player Data Pack for Android: Netrunner, with an approximate play time of 45 minutes. Released in 2015, it is the fourth Data Pack in the SanSan Cycle.

The Underway explores the meat space, culture, and residents of SanSan, a megacity known for high-end technology, beautiful beaches, and the World Expo. The city is also recovering from “The Big One,” a cataclysmic earthquake that opened the San Andreas fault and reshaped America’s western coast.

This newly created space became home to a motley mix of architectural styles, ethnicities, and cultural influences. Its independent spirit and counterculture atmosphere made the Underway a place for pioneers and iconoclasts, while also creating an environment where the influence of Los Muertos could spread.

• 60 new cards: three copies each of 20 different cards
• A new Criminal Runner identity
• New resources, illicit hardware, and clever programs
• Cards that explore the gang’s impact on both Runners and Corps

Los Muertos is a street gang whose members are recognized by their bioluminescent tattoos. They deal in illegal technology as readily as they deal in flesh and drugs, and their criminal influence reaches throughout The Underway.

Other Runner factions gain access to technology not normally found in America, while Corps must contend with the gang’s members in one way or another. With its focus on SanSan’s diverse surroundings and the pervasive reach of Los Muertos, The Underway brings the city’s culture and conflicts into the Android: Netrunner setting.
