About this expansion

Battles of Westeros: Tribes of the Vale is a two-player expansion for Battles of Westeros, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Released in 2011, it introduces the fierce clansmen of the Stone Crows, Black Ears, and Burned Men as an allied force.

These clansmen can supplement House Lannister or, when using the Skirmish rules, House Stark from the Core Set. Their tan-colored miniatures clearly distinguish allied troops from the forces of the house they support, adding customization to Skirmish battles and making units easier to identify on the battlefield.

Tribes of the Vale includes three new commanders, each representing a dangerous leader from the mountain clans. Shagga, Son of Dolf, is a ruthless Stone Crow barbarian who fights with two massive battle axes. Timett, Son of Timett, the Red Hand of the Burned Men, is a fearless swordsman who rarely fails to kill his intended target.

Chella, Daughter of Cheyk, is a vicious warrior who decorates herself with the ears of her enemies. Together, these commanders bring distinctive personalities and brutal new forces to the battles of Westeros.

  • Three new commanders: Shagga, Timett, and Chella
  • Three new unit types representing the Vale clansmen
  • New terrain and a rules and battle plan book
  • Clansmen Gambit and Skirmish cards

With its new allied troops, commanders, terrain, and cards, Battles of Westeros: Tribes of the Vale expands the tactical possibilities available in both standard and Skirmish play.
