About this board game

Botanicus is a 2024 board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 60 minutes. As an aristocrat in the late 19th century, you have bought land, hired a gardener, and set out to create your own botanical garden.

Your visitors have very particular tastes. It is not enough to acquire impressive plants: you must also arrange them according to the visitors’ preferences, ensuring that the right plants are available for them to admire.

At the heart of Botanicus is a unique action-selection mechanism. Players compete for the best action spots, then make the most of the options available to them. Timing and priorities matter as you develop your garden while working within the opportunities created by the selection system.
