About this board game

Buurn is a hot-sauce competition board game for 3–5 players, played in about 40 minutes, in which cooks gather ingredients and create the most intense sauce possible.

During the Fiesta Nacional, El Gobernador invites wannabe chefs from around the world to compete for enough money to open their own restaurant. To prepare their recipes, participants must obtain the best ingredients in ruthless auctions known as top-downs.

Every cook is trying to build a winning combination, but this savage contest allows more than straightforward bidding. Players can seek help by being friends with the organization or even steal ingredients from their rivals. Everything is allowed in the race to produce the hottest sauce ever created.

• Use connections with the organization or steal from opposing cooks.
• Earn victory points from ingredients and bonuses.

When the contest ends, El Gobernador’s jury tastes every hot sauce and awards victory points based on the types of ingredients used and the bonuses obtained. The cook with the most points wins the competition and receives a restaurant paid for by El Gobernador.

Set in the strange world of Las Picantes, Buurn combines a culinary challenge with tense auctions and ruthless rivalry. Gather what you need, take opportunities wherever they appear, and aim to impress the jury with the strongest sauce.
