Camel Up

About this board game

Camel Up is a betting game for 2–8 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Five camels race around a track, while players try to predict which will finish first and second.

At the start of the game, all five dice determine the camels’ starting positions. During each leg of the race, players select betting cards for the different camel colors, showing how many coins they may win or lose based on each camel’s position when the leg ends.

Movement is controlled by the pyramid dice shaker. Players pause from betting to release one die at a time, moving the camel of the matching color. The camels do not always travel separately: when one lands on another, it is carried along toward the finish line.

• Bet early for the possibility of a larger reward.
• Use oasis cards to earn extra coins.
• Watch the dice determine which camel moves next.
• Track the changing order as camels stack and advance.

After all five camels have moved, bets for the leg are resolved and a new leg begins. Play continues until a camel crosses the finish line, at which point the end-of-race bets are resolved.

In Camel Up, timing, predictions, and unexpected movement all shape the race. The player with the most coins after the final bets wins.
