About this board game

Castle Knights is a cooperative tower-building game for 2–4 players that takes about 15 minutes to play. Players take the roles of Knights, working together to build three new towers before King Duncan returns to his castle.

The Knights have an unusual building tool: a bizarre device made from satin cord, wooden balls, and what appears to be an elastic ponytail holder. Using this device, players pick up, move, and deposit the various building blocks needed for construction. They must also handle the wooden figures of the Prince, the Princess, and the Ghost, who top the completed towers.

Each challenge begins when players draw a card. The card shows which tower must be built, including the required blocks and the order in which they must be placed. Players then have to construct the illustrated tower before the timer runs out.

  • Players: 2–4
  • Playing time: approximately 15 minutes
  • Recommended age: 5 and up
  • Goal: collect three successfully completed tower cards

If the tower is completed in time, the players keep the card. If they fail, King Duncan moves forward one space. The group wins by collecting three cards before Duncan reaches the castle.

With its shared objective, timer-driven construction challenges, and surprising cord-and-ball mechanism, Castle Knights turns tower building into a hands-on medieval adventure for young players and their families.
